open source software and proprietary software

Today we going to talk about open source softwares.

First things first before we talk about the open source software lets talk about softwares.As we all know that there are many kind of software like application software and system software.

Software those are used to run the operating system those are known as system software like DOS(disk operating system) and other operating system.these are known as system software. and application software are software those are use to run a particular software like google chrome and other music player management software these are known as application software.

  so now we come to our topic that is open source software.

guys there are two type of software on the basis of cost :

 1. proprietary software 

 2. open source software.

the main difference between proprietary software and open source software is that open source software's source code can be freely available on the net and we can also download it. these are programmed to use for all the programmers because a user those who download the open source code can learn from it,modify it as per their requirement and share it with other people . The main purpose of the open source software is to sharing and finding the bug into the operating system. 

in the proprietary software as you know these are not freely available.by mean that if we don't have permission to download the source code we can get its source code because these software belongs to a community or organization so if we are not member of that particular community we can't get the access of that source code 

so now the example of open source software is Libreoffice and GNU Image Manipulation programs.

and the example of the proprietary software is  Microsoft word and Adobe phototshop.
